Hi after reading dusty dog i wondered if i had made the right choice booking here, but the view was exceptional, food delicious, waitstaff could not have done more to make our evening a great one and all round the 5 of us had a fantastic evening.the restaurant is in the running for restaurant of the year, and rightly so,in my book there is no competition in the area, it left other seafood restaurants for dead both in price and food & service, well done to all there ( it may have looked a little like it wasn't full dusty dog but they do seat 80 not the 30 that others seat.) WELL DONE LAKESIDE WE WILL RETURN ASAP!!!!

Our group arrived at 6:45pm - seated quickly. No drink order - straight in to order meals. Ordered at about 7:00 - they had already run out of steak - even though the restaurant was not even 1/2 full.
The entree order was botched with one order of oysters taking 3 goes to get right and then because of the rush - they were not cooked properly - mornay - cheese wasn't even melted properly..
The entree dishes were not fully cleared away (there was only 3 plates to clear) and one was left an addtional 15 minutes.
The worst part was having to wait until 1 1/2 hours after we arrived for the mains to be served. This was more than an hour after the entrees. So having arrived at 6:45, some members of our group who didn't order an entree waited until after 8:15 to eat. Didn't want to run the risk with ordering dessert, so we left for an icecream up the street - and found other people from the restaurant doing the same thing.
No apologies given, and other groups were also complaining about the excessive delays. At no time was the restaurant even 3/4 full.
Food was OK but the service was very poor. We wion't be back and we won't be recommending this one to any of our friends.
